Light Painting

A few minutes ago I’ve tried, for the first time, light painting. And it worked! After searching for a suitable flashlight, in the lunch break (finally I’ve found one but not small enough for my taste) I expected the night and… you can see the results. They are dedicated to a very special person for me… URS!

All I need now is imagination and time…

Zenove weekend

Last weekend 10 persons started from Sibiu for a 2 days trip near Avrig, at Zenove camping. In the afternoon 2 more persons joined us and we become 12 (apostles). Saturday we went to Barcaciu (at 1550m altitude) to have the dinner there, after a 2 hours climb. Not long after that we descend back with fear of rain (it was forecast to start after noon but we were lucky, this time the forecast was wrong - only a few dark clouds on the top of the mountains).
In the afternoon we had a small party (with music not too loud, because of the neighbors :) ) and waited for the rain which arrived in the night, finally.
The second day was rainy… and I was wet in less than 5 (five) seconds (but this is another story, not for the blog).
Below you can see some of the pictures; for more you can browse the trip album here http://www.staicu.com/zenove.
I’ve made some movies as well but I need time to transfer and prepare them. They’ll be publish here, eventually.

PS. The dog you see in one of the photos cleaned the last traces of food remaining after the night party… lesson learned - put away the remaining food or the “bears” will eat it!.

PPS. Due to some problems (lack of time, mainly) the blog is not updated as often as I would like and the problems won’t be fixed in the next month…

The cat and the laptop

A cat is playing on a laptop (or with a laptop?). Worth looking :D.

Greece 2007

A new photo slide show with pictures from various Greek places in 2007 is uploaded on YouTube.

I’m waiting for a never coming feedback, as usually.

What Does the Color of Your Car Say About You?

The color car you drive actually says a lot about who you are to your friends, family, co-workers, potential dates and clients. There is some indication that the color car you drive can have as much impact on that “first impression” as the make and model.
Here is a snapshot of what your car color is broadcasting about you.

Complete Apollo photo archive now available after 40 years

For nearly 40 years, the complete photographic record from the Apollo moon project sat in a freezer at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, almost untouched, until now. A new digital archive – created through a collaboration between ASU and NASA – is making available on the Internet high-resolution scans of original Apollo flight films.

Fiore d’amor

A new video is available from my mixing cauldron :D. This time is a photo poem from the Masca Theater street show in June, Fiore D’amor in Bucuresci. The music is by Cristian Vasile and was part of the show sound track.

Even if there are some sections I would liked to work more (on some transitions / music sync but the time dedicated to the new hobby is still too short) overall I like it. I hope you too…
